Hi all,

I'm looking for feedback on the least-prone-to-trouble
method of replacing the finder file.
I've done it in the 7 systems more than once, but not in 9.2.

Should I simply copy from CD to the System Folder icon,
and will that yield the typical,
"do you want to replace with the one you are moving" dialogue?
Perhaps using "Base" extensions with CD turned on as well?

Put the new copy on the HD but buried;
Then Boot from a CD and swap the Finder files;
or just restart with extensions off and "drag and drop" switch them?

Thanks,
Terry
