I recently upgraded my 7300/G3/233 with an XLR8 ZIFcarrier and G4/450 (plus more RAM and a new PRAM battery). Machine already had a USB and Tempo ATA card installed, plus Voodoo5. The intention is to go to OSX at some time in the future.....
Anyway, the machine zips along now (ripping at 5x instead of 2x), and is much more responsive. But... It won't restart. It fires up fine from a cold start, but if I do a restart it gets maybe 0.1seconds into the startup chime and then freezes. I have to turn it off at the mains and then on again, at which point everything is fine. Any suggestions? Hugh -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
