Victoria, in this case, you may be *getting what you pay for*.
I paid close to $50 for an ' Enhance' VGA adapter from FRY's.
Has 9 tiny 'dip' switches and a rotating wheel switch.
Slightly involved to set up, but gives all resolutions on multisynch
monitors, and a clear screen ...
