> > >How would you know if the Preferences FOLDER itself got corrupted? >What problems would you see to lead you to that conclusion??? because I was told to drag the old preference folder out on the desktop and leave it there and restart and to save time I moved the newly created preferences into an old folder and replaced the new folder with the old one - and then the same problem came back - no matter what prefs I trashed. because the numbers of prefs are considerably lesser in the newly baked folder, so it was easier to move them than the others.... and yes I tried also with the old prefs in a new folder without replacing the folder and then sometimes it worked ! kenta --
