Yes you can you use a Keyboard & Mouse, but they will only be available once the computer boots up fully. This means you wont have a KB power on, and if you have to boot with extensions off neither your USB KB nor Mouse will work. My solution is to stick with my old ADB keyboard with a ADB mouse off to one side, and a very nice USB mouse with 2 buttons and a scroll wheel.
Just one other note, on using USB for the broadband modem, confirm you will be supplied Mac compatible software to use the modem with USB. The software exists for Windows, but I'm not sure about Mac.
