I'm curious to know how that can happen -- unless the power to a fan is inadequate. 
I'd want to make sure all the fans are working well. I don't know the 9600 case, but 
if the 9600 can be run with the case open I'd try that and see how the fans are doing. 
I'd also want to see if that lowers the processor temperature. If it does 
substantially lower it, I'd say you have an airflow problem -- a bad fan or some kind 
of obstruction, perhaps.
