The limits are way beyond 9 Gigs, I am sure. The first things to make sure are: Set the SCSI ID with correct jumpers settings. It's terminated if it's the only or last physical SCSI device on the SCSI bus, and not terminated if it's not the only one and it's not at the end of the bus. Some SCSI drives need 3rd party software to make them work on your Mac. (I.E. Intech HDST, FWB, Silverlining, etc.) If it's an LVD drive, it requires LVD termination.
STeve << It plugs into SCSI. I'm using OS 9.1. I'm beginning to wonder if my machine won't handle a 9 GB HD. Last year I bought a 9 GB HD, and it didn't work. I sent it back, and the company sent me another one. This one didn't work either, so I gave it to a friend to see whether he could get it to work. So far he hasn't tried it. This year I bought a 2 GB HD and it worked fine. Now here I am with a 9 GB again, and it is not working. Is there a maximum size for my machine? It sold with a maximum space for 2 GB.
