Does System Profiler see the drive and its SCSI No.?

Get someone to mount it on a PC with a SCSI card like Adaptec 2930, 2940.
See if BIOS will recognize the drive and if it is, restart and press Esc-A
(for Adaptec). Do a low level format under DOS. Reconnect to your 8500 and
get Drive Setup to initialize it.

If BIOS setup won't see the drive or FDISK won't see it, you just bought
yourself an expensive external SCSI housing.
