No, you can only use one at a time, same thing with some newer pc
motherboards that have both SDRAM and DDR RAM slots, you only use one at
a time. The idea is you can use the cheap kind of ram now and then
upgrade later on to something with more performance without having to
change a motherboard.

You're probably right, but they're certainly not a commonplace, given
the
cost of secondhand DIMMs these days. A quick websearch revealed that
most
Pentium motherboards used a mix of 72pin EDO and SDRAM - which is pretty
weird if you ask me (would having two different speeds of RAM create all
sorts of weirdo timing problems on the 'board?)
