There were some business machines that had 5V dimms EDO or FPM not just for Apple's. I seen this in IBM old mmx box, as well as compaq's and others even in high-dollar machines like SGI. In decent boards I haven't seen like this yet especially for 5V dimms. Either 72pin for EDO and FPM or 3.3V dimm SDRAM always. There were two types of slots on same board itself on some of them but they were not too well optimized. One type of memory sockets tend to be reliable and best performance.
