Man, I wish someone would give me an Apple 21" monitor! That's about the
best you can get, short of professional-level CRTs which are very
expensive... Enjoy it!

One of my Macs is an old 5200, which was a nice all-in-one machine but very
slow, so I tossed the motherboard and stuck in one from a 6360 machine (an
exact replacement), like yours, and it has worked very well! It has one PCI
slot to which I added a USB card, but I haven't tried it out yet (at least
Apple System Profiler recgonizes it being there, so I guess/hope it will
work. Most new printers available now are USB, so this will come in handy.
You can pick up cheap USB 1.0 cards new at computer stores for around
$20-25.

Both of my Macs run OS 8.6 which I'm happy with, but my Wallstreet laptop
came with 9.2 on it and I left it at that (they guy I bought it from said he
had OSX on it, but the 250 MHz Wallstreet was too slow for it to run well).
Before that I used OS 7.6 for quite awhile before upgrading to 8.6, and did
that mostly because most of the graphics and 3-D programs that I use require
at least 8.6 but otherwise was content. Also, if you install a USB card, I
believe you have to have 8.5 or 8.6 to use it.

Speaking of printers, I had a color Stylewriter 2400, but it's ink
cartridges are so small that the ink didn't last long enough for me, and if
you ever have to replace the ink 'carrier' (the plastic part that holds the
ink tanks, either a small color and small black, or one large black
cartridge), at places like Office Depot it costs about $50! Not a chance!
The output was acceptable for text printing, but just too expensive, so I
junked it.

I bought several other used printers that better suit my needs.

For 'regular' printing I use an Epson Stylus Color 860 connected to a USB
card in my Powermac 9500 (bought the printer at Goodwill for $15, and it
works perfectly! Even had full inks...) Prints good text, and good color
photos on photo-quality paper.

For letters and manuals and other all-text jobs, I have a used Apple
Laserwriter Pro 630; this is connected to my serial port (I know that I
should be able to connect it somehow with an 'crossover' cable or something
like that, but haven't gotten around to that; where can you buy a
'crossover' cable?) Very crisp text, no smears if the paper ever gets wet,
and it's quiet. Got it on eBay for $40, from a great company in New Mexico.
If anyone is looking for a used laserprinter, I'd be happy to forward the
company's info to you; I can highly recommend this place.

Lastly, for my larger color prints, I bought a semi-wide format Epson Stylus
Photo 1200 that handles paper up to 13" wide and 44" long. The output
quality is stunning on photo paper. Got it for about $100 on eBay. It's
also connected to my USB 1.0 card.

If you're going to do very much printing, you may not be happy with the
Stylewriter 2400, but hopefully it will serve you well.
