Well, it goes a little bit beyond the refill and cartridge holder story. When printing out my technical illustrations, most of which were very saturated with vector graphics and color, the small color cartridge of the 2400 just wouldn't last any time at all; having refills on hand wasn't the answer for me, I had to have something that carried more ink, simple as that. Only a few weeks after getting it (I bought it at Goodwill for $5 or something like that), it died. Since I wasn't happy with the small ink supply it had, I started looking around for its replacement and desided upon an Epson 740i that was a display model at Sears in West Palm Beach, so I bought that one and was very happy with it (sent that printer to my son along with my Powerbook 1400c 133 a few months ago for his school work assignments. The 1400c has one of the best keyboards ever, BTW, for touch-typing, it's a great PB). Anyway, I liked the quality of the Epson so much, and it was trouble-free for me, that I replaced it with the Epson 860 (found at Goodwill for $15 and in like new condition!) and it has also been a wonderful printer. I buy bulk ink refill kits, black and color inks, for both the Epson 860 and the Photo 1200 from Nu-jet inks in Texas for several years now... -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
