I use and love my 6500/275 a lot. It's a great machine. The IDE drive isn't that much of a liability. Also, it has full SCSI, including a couple drive bays with SCSI cabling, so you can use SCSI if you want. Works great, best of both worlds. I have both a SCSI drive and IDE drive in mine, plus an external SCSI CD-R and HD. He's probably thinking of the 5200/5300/6200/6300 series. They are indeed the worst Mac ever, PowerMac or not, IMHO. The 5400/5500/6400/6500 are entirely different machines that are quite nice. However, see below: >Also, will I be able to put the 128 memory stick in my 7200 in the 6500? I want to say no. ISTR the 7200 was the machine that was physically damaged by EDO RAM. >I >was also offered a 7300/180/64RAM with monitor for around the same price and >a 7600/120/64RAM/2Gigs woth monitor and StyleWriter 2400 for around the same >too. If you were offered a 7600 for about the same price as a 6500, get the 7600. It's quite a lot more expandable with the CPU card and such, plus just nicer. G3 upgrades go in a lot easier. > Thanks in advance for your precious help >Germain All in all, get the 7600 ;) Scott Holder -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
