With the exception of one 8600/9600, all my machines run cool.

G3s run cooler than do the fast 604e's or 604ev's.

The one 8600/9600 which ran hot was traced to a defective power supply. This
particular machine was a 9600/200.

Although the 8600/9600 power supply is one of Apple's best, it is also one of
the most complicated.

In my experience, there is no need to add additional cooling to an 8600/9600.
