Yes; I had the same problem. Two new 128MB FPM sticks (from OWC) somehow prevented my 7300 from restarting. I tried reseating them. I cleaned the contacts. I tried them in different slots. I tried de-interleaving them. I tried them each individually. I tried disabling the startup memory test. Nothing worked--my system simply wouldn't restart when one or both sticks were present. My system would cold start just fine and they passed every memory test I could throw at them. > Why would that >be happening? No idea. I've heard of it happening to maybe 2-3 others (curiously, I think they also involved recent-vintage 128 MB memory sticks). Maybe there's something about at least some of the newer 128 MB memory that's not quite compatible with at least some of the old logic boards (and something that only shows up on restarts). > I am currently going back and forth with the seller to see >what can be done. > If any one has a solution that does not involve exchanging the RAM I >would be very greatful.
