Its the 128 dimms, older ones are too slow for the G3/G4 upgrades and cause freezes. The newer ones have a higher refresh rate and work with the faster chips. But they often cause problems when older/slower chips are also installed. If the 128 dimms are new remove all the older ram. This should cure your problem.
