I have a Powermac 9500 MP configured as follows:

288MB RAM
Dual 180MHz 604e
2GB HD, with 1.3GB free
MacOS 9.1
QT 4.1.2
CarbonLib 1.6
Video card I cannot remember brand and model right now
SCSI card that is currently not connected to any device.
Connected to the net via cable modem/router (running DHCP)

Every time I start up, as soon as it reaches the step where it shows
the desktop and the drives mounted to it, it will freeze for a few
minutes. After that, any folder that was left open the last time the
machine was on will show up and the machine will be ready to be used.

Also, today I was going to install Photoshop 6 on it and it gave me a
error -199. I tried then installing a game I had laying around -
colonization if you are curious - and it gave the same error.

Now, I have a PowerMac 7500, which would be replaced by the above
machine (G3 and USB cards, memory, and HD moved though ;) configured
as follows:

512MB RAM
G3/450MHz card
18GB HD, with 12GB free
MacOS 9.1
QT 6.0.2
CarbonLib 1.6
Connected to the net via cable modem/router (running DHCP)

Which does not have any of the above problems. In fact I have
installed and ran both programs without a problem. What should I
look into?
