do you have any  orphan aliases in the startupobject folder in the 
systemfolder? what about the automatic clock synkronising in date and 
time ? is it set to update automatically ? and can not find a 
timeserver ? any aliases in the serverfolder ? for an forgotten idisk 
?
did you ever trash the disctopfiles ?
