Twice I have thought mine had given up the ghost and one of those times was when I added a processor upgrade. Sometimes it makes you just want to haul off and smack it. So it could be a bad upgrade or it could be that nasty machine wanting you to take off that case one more time. I would unplug everything. And I mean everything down to the battery and let it sit for a couple of hours. Just drain it. And then put it back together.
