I mostly used Spin Doctor - bundles with Toast - to get the tracks out of the whole recording. Shift dragging isnt obvious but makes exact selection easy rather than the auto define tracks which often misses. Spin Doctor can do a little for noise but not a lot and at a cost. Other sound apps can be useful to fade in or out where bad crackles occur. Peak can remove bad clicks but it was a chore. I ended up finding it easier and ok for my purposes to go Vinyl to cassette to HD - oh I lose a bit and gain a little noise but heck I listen to the music not the imperfections and my Mac is permanently connected to a ghetto blaster for sound out and in which makes it a doddle. I guess its just how rare or special and numerous are the vinyl recordings as if spending too much time it would make more sense to buy the CDs! Whatever!
