if you can get it locally buy the cheapest ortofon pick up it comes 
with a needle
and unless some special sale - it will be cheaper than a replacement, 
can you change
the pickup on your recordplayer or is it solid plastic ?
the ortofon will sound great unless what you are discarding is 
something very expensive like a moving coil or so.
and your pickup doesnt have to be a pioneer just because it is fitted 
on a pioneer player ?
