Hi I once tried sending Spin Doctor 'tracks' to Toast and it made a balls up of it. So I always drag and drop the renamed and defined tracks to another place (fortunately I have plenty of Disk space to do this. I tend to collect for a CDs worth rather than just a straight copy so this suits me anyway. Have to have a look with SoundEdit and will retry Coaster - last time I tried it simply didnt work at all. Having a large ish HD I can just leave recordings going and come back some time later. Its better than babysitting. Another tip - if you have Peak - it has a nice way of sampling the peaks and then adjusting the gain to the max without clipping. Whereas increasing gain blind is a bit risky - but I find it does need increasing especially if mixing with other CD ripped tracks etc. All the best Brian -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
