I can only tell you that I do these things to keep NS 4.8 running perfectly: Trash the Cache � folder, MagicCookie, and Netscape History files after each session. Keep your bookmarks in folders and don't have too many hanging down, that chokes it. I turn off a lot of automatic stuff in the prefs, and trash the TALKBACK.ini from the Netscape folder.
