or download  &  use    tomeviewer    to extract the cd/dvd drives 
from the installer on the 9.1 OS cd ? Sometimes the versions on the 
startcds themselves are lesser than the ones found in the installer, 
i dont know if this is the case with the cd/dvd driver but with the 
systemfiles and finder it certainly is.
