Notes for the ANS, the ANS uses the same type of cache as the 8500. I'm
willing to find out that Apple's documentation is wrong--it wouldn't be the
first time. But that's what the HDN says.

I own four ANSes (anuses) ... all ANS cache cards are quite different from
the same sized PCI-Mac cache cards.

The RAM is parity in the ANS, but one can use non-parity DIMMs just like the
x500 machines use. However, performance is somewhat reduced.

Parity RAM must be 60 nsec. Non-parity RAM may be 70 nsec, but parity
checking is thereby disabled for all RAM banks, even those which are parity,
if just one non-parity stick is installed.

A very few 128 MB non-parity RAM sticks will work in an ANS, but most (99.44
percent) won't (gets a POST error on power-on restart).

There are no 128 MB parity RAM sticks, AFAIK.

All ANS RAM must be FPM.
