Suddenly, our Macintosh Workgroup Server 8550/Sonnet G3 (same form factor as PM 8500) shows only a black screen at startup. Both hard disks (with Mac OS 9.1, and OS X respectively) are running fine, but the Mac doesn't make use of them any more.
There is no sad Mac on startup, no question mark, just black screen. I tried to boot from CD ROM, took the two hard disk drives out, and put a third drive in their place. Nothing changes.
