I am using an B&W G3 with System 8.6 and an older Apple ADB kekyboard. I
also have had the problem you describe. I discovered the fix by accident,
and it's quite simple. With your computer plugged in and turned off, simply
remove the ADB connector and wait 30 seconds. Plug it back in and everything
should be back to normal. At least it works for me.
