Story: Bought a Sonnet G4/700 card for my 9500 (940MB, OS8.6 60G Maxtor on SIIG133 card), which works very well.
Problem: My UltraRes and Radius video cards didn't work with the G4 card, so I bit the bullet and bought the recommended ATI 7000 PCI video card, so I can keep using dual displays (it can drive two monitors). Well, it's acceleration and dual-display software require 9.2! So I upgrade to 9.1 and buy a 9.2.1 disk (along with Jag); when I try to use OS9 Helper to make that last jump to 9.2.1 it is looking for a .smi file, which I don't have since I already have the full 9.2.1 install CD! Anyone know how to get OS9 Helper in work with the install disk? Thanks in advance for any help and suggestions. ---Alex -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
