...Just remembered: I do recall after installing the G4/700 card I was
having a lot of random crashes & hangs...  After a few days of torture and
self-doubt about my upgrade decision, I ran the XLR8 memory test for the
shortest run period of ONE MINUTE, and it came back with something like 53
million RAM read/write errors!  After removing all RAM and reinstalling,
one-at-a-time, and retesting after each install in an attempt to find the
bad module, the errors went away.  Must have had one or more RAM sticks not
seated to the G4's liking (since I didn't have problems before installing
the G4).  Since then, it has been very stable and fast.
