Why in the world would you want to use OS 10 on a 7500? (or on anything?)
I suggest that you install no higher than OS 9.1 so you can use all your
older software. In the case of OS 10, newer is definitely not better. The
change from traditional object-oriented Apple OS to Unix is no more nor less
than a way for Steve Jobs to compete with his buddy, Bill Gates, on the same
playing field.

I hope more people will realize this because we need to resist the change.
Already the loyal Apple users are having a hard time keeping their setups
running at optimum. I personally think Apple would do well to have two
different directions. One would be devoted to traditional user-friendly
computers and the other would try to directly compete in the games market.

Any comments, folks?

I am looking for OS 9 very cheap. I have a copy, but apparently its for
iMacs, not my PowerMac 7500. I want to put OS X on, which I also have a copy
of, but Xpostfacto won't work on OS 8.5. If anyone knows a workaround or
where I can get a very cheap copy of OS 9, it would be much appreciated. I
have:

PowerMac 7500 with a 200MHz 604e CPU
8GB HD
8x CD-ROM
SMC9432TX 10/100 LAN
ATI Rage XL 8MB Vid Card
Adaptec 2940UW SCSI Card (flashed bios)

Thankyou
