Resist the change? Sure, you can do this if you wish to continue to work with more and more antiquated equipment as the years go by, clinging to your single-thread OS all the way. I have to say, 'resist the change' is a funny phrase, since this implies it will have some effect. I have a surprise for you; you have no choice. Other than to use old, outdated equipment and software. This may be fine for you or any number of users, but I think the majority of Apple users wanted something different, computers that are slick and FAST. The change happened about 2 years ago. I don't understand why people keep lamenting the fact; it's not like Steve jobs is going to say "Oh, we will go back to OS 9, it was such a GREAT OS' (personal snicker).
