Over 5 Gig available on that drive, (about 1.3 Gig on the second OS drive) but
contiguous? According to Norton (I don't know how accurate their visual
graphics of defragging are) The OS has lots of apps between it and the empty
space due to the Speed Disk optimizer function. I'll do a test and move all but
the System Folder to another drive and see what happens after another
optimization with the OS only on the drive. Will post the results.

Tried that because I had the same thought. Must be very strange. It is a WeeCam,
given away by Earthlink to new subscribers a year or so ago, complete with Mac
and PC software. The Mac software requires OS 9.1, (got that) QT 3.x or better
(using 6.0.2 Pro) and OT/AppleTalk 2.x. (using 2.7.6) Works on another of my
Macs with no problem with VM on, but not with VM off. Wanted to make sure it
actually worked! That Mac has the same setup (minus some of the third party
extensions as earlier tested and found not to have any effect on the results.)
as the one that won't play nice with VM. I may end up copying that one's OS via
my network to replace the current one.
