Optimized the drive with OS only installed. 1.7 Gig available. Still locks. Tried
removing a RAM DIMM to get under 1 Gig. Still locks.
Try....
Change to the Apple base set of extensions. Boot with extensions off. Drag the Memory and System prefs to the trash. Empty the trash. Open the Memory control and see if it will accept the settings. Reboot.
