I just added a 4 GB Barracuda HD to my 8600. I put it on SCSI bus 1 by
itself. Everything else including the original HD are on SCSI bus 0. Now,
after the computer is running for about five minutes, it locks up. System
profiler shows everything with different ID#'s so there is no conflict
there. I think the original HD is terminated, because it is set to ID 6.
The Barracuda is set to ID 0. If the two HD's are on different buses, do
they both need to be terminated? What is the difference between bus
termination and drive termination?

One thing I was wondering about, one of the clips from a SCSI cable
broke. I removed the clip from the cable. Could that have anything to do
with it locking up?

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Thanks
