Is it locking up everyday and you switch it off and wait till 3 the next day to see see if you have better luck? Or do you restart by key combinations (control+command+start/shut? Is disk first aid then auto run?
Try starting by holding down shift key - to disable extensions. Rebuild desktop (option+command when starting) Put thru disk first aid, norton's, tech tool or the like If you have other disks to start, do so and do above.
