I wish I could find the post but I think I've read that "certain" iMac
install disks were fairly generic. Of course the disk would include all
the iMac specific files too. You might try a clean install and see what
you have. You can always trash the system if it's a no go. I once tried
an earlier iMac disk on another machine and the installer let me know
right away that it wouldn't install in this particular Mac.

OWC my have something up their sleeve w/ this one?
