Day in, day out, Icab is my pal. It's fast and stable and simple. For looking into my bank account, I use Netscape 7.0; I balance my account once a month, and maybe check the balance in the middle of the month. The reason I use Nutscrape is because the bank doesn't recognize Icab, period.

I found iCab 2.9.1 is visibly faster on my 7300/G3/400 with 358 RAM and, now, 9.1. It works well for my local bank account EXCEPT when I want to go to page two of recent transactions; something about java script. I also can use iCab for Discovercard and Providian Mastercard, but Sears MC and US Airways Visa have hissy-fits when I try to use iCab and won't even let me enter their sites. So, I cave and use IE 5.1; just to be petty and mean, I only use Sears MC and USAir Visa on rare occasion.

My main use for Netscape is for its WYSIWYG Composer function and the rare instance that neither iCab nor IE will download or open a page.

Speaking of, does anyone else out there use Road Runner? My local RR (Southern Tier of NY, Binghamton) just changed its remote access mail pages by adding frames, banner ads, and otherwise screwing them up so bad that NO browser will read the pages, including Netscape. [the relationship: RR used Netscape to compose the page; Netscape is a function of AOL; AOL is part of Time-Warner; and, locally anyway, Time-Warner operates Road Runner.]. I contacted RR Tech Support (in Ottawa) who gave me an email address in Virginia to which I have not received an answer to my query/complaint.
