Mine would go to sleep, and not be able to "wake up" properly. That is, if any Microsoft program was running, it would "wake up" frozen. I had to push the front button for an emergency shut-off; not even a force restart would work.

This happened under OS 8.6.

And funny thing is, I didn't even have Energy Saver installed!

That could have been the very reason why it did it.... Default is to put everything to sleep in 30 minutes. If the control panel is not present "for control", it really puts everything to sleep.
