Glad you found the "Fix" to your red problem. Be advised for any who own the Multiscan 15" (I have a bunch on workstations and love them. ) that if you start getting a green or yellow green screen, it is usually a monitor cable problem. Usually wiggling the cable will fix the problem. That nice long cable is great, but tends to get a lot of abuse when coiled to take up the slack. Also the choke filter located near the back of the monitor on the cable puts a lot of weight on the cable. Anyone ever cut the cable and resoldered the connectors to the PC board? (It looks like maybe the breaks happen close to the choke.) Does it cause any real problems if the choke is removed?
A little trick I've done to all of mine for regaining focus control: The focus is controlled by a pot located so that it faces the rear of the case 2" from the right edge and 2" from the bottom of the case, while looking at the back. I used my Dremel and a cutting disk and cut a hole at that point in each of my 15" MS's Now you will see a pot (the only one showing) in the metal shield visible through the hole. You can adjust the focus by turning the pot with a non metallic adjustment tool. (a cut down plastic knife works well) I cover the hole with a piece of duct tape to keep out dust and curious fingers.
