Hi
[my] 7600/132 [with] G3/300 (sonnet) ... has been working fine for a couple of weeks. Today when I started it...
It booted, showed the MacOS 9.1 logo, loaded the extensions, and [then] the screen went blank before it should show the desktop; it just stopped, showing the MacOS default background. It is just as the screen would be showing the second monitor, I can move mouse around the screen (but not off the screen), and there is no menu bar and no icons. I started without extensions, zapped pram but it didn't help. I know the computer is working (not frozen) because if I push the power key I hear the sound alert (which plays when shutdown dialog is showing). And if I press S it shuts-down. Or if I press R it restarts. Why can't I see the desktop and dialogs? Any help ... greatly appreciated.
Regards, Boris
