Hi all,
This isn't exactly on topic, but I hope someone can help anyway. I just
bought an Iomega Jaz drive (the original SCSI, 1Gb external unit) to use
with my PM9600.
I've received the drive, but can't test it out properly, as I don't yet have
the appropriate cable to attach it to my Mac, or any disks. I tried plugging
it in, but it doesn't seem to power on. Does this mean the drive is
defective, or do I just I just need to connect it to a computer or insert a
disk in order for it to operate?
Yeas. At the very least you need to insert a disk. But the only way to test if it's a functional drive is to connect it to a Mac and see if you can read and write to it...
