Re: Jaz drive woes, or am I just paranoid?

I've only had problems with 1 external SCSI Zip100 drive.  It was a 
refurb purchased from Egghead Computers when they still had retail 
stores.  It wiped a couple of my discs.  Its replacement still works 
OK.  The discs themselves have been formatted since then and are still 
good.

The only Zips I've had problems with lately are the older Zip100 IDE 
internal drives.

I did read a few user reviews of the Jaz drive today, and about 2/3 of 
them were negative - 1GB and 2GB models.  Good thing mine was free. :>

very very slow.  No hard feelings toward Iomega, their Zip drives 
are the best and  their other devices are great as well
