Hello out there, I'm tossing a stone into the pool to see if it ripples.

Once upon a time there was a very nice, simple, small piece of freeware for recording audio from any source directly to your HD. It is named "Sound Recorder" (of all things) and was put out in its one-and-only 1.0 version in 1998 by a guy named Bernhard Jenny (works with OS 8.x all the way to OS 9.2.2).

Now, I have the thing and I've just started to want to use it. Problem is, there are problems. Especially one. I'm trying to use it to record about two and one-half hours straight (as a single file) but Sound Recorder automatically cuts out after about an hour.

So, I tried contacting Jenny for advice, using his former email address. No dice. Email got kicked back.

First question: anybody out there who can give me an email address where I can reach him?

Second question: (If no answer to first question) What about yourselves? Anyone a current/former user of the software who might have an idea of how to cure the "premature timing-out" thing?

Note: BTW, there's now another "SoundRecorder" (much more recent) put out by a guy named Christian Schmitz at monkeybreads.com. That one is *not* the one and has no relationship (I guess) to the one I'm interested in. I tried contacting Schmitz and he claimed to have never heard of the first one.

So, anyway, anyone out there who can help me? It'd be much appreciated.

Dave
