I found the time limit to be a problem too. I switched to Coaster. It is free and will record most any sound source until you fill your HD.
Thank you. I've got Coaster lying around. I'm going to open it. If it's as plain and simple as Sound Recorder, I'm all for it. (BTW, I've got OS 9.2.2 on a spruced up PowerMac 6500.)
