I found the time limit to be a problem too. I switched
to Coaster. It is free and will record most any sound
source until you fill your HD. I have had no
difficulties with it in any OS from 7.6 thru 9.1 ( It
probably will even go back to 7.1 but I have no
experience with it there.)
