I get your point that on the scale of value to do with printing pictures, small MP cameras are overpriced. But - as I indicated before - I am not at all interested in printing pictures from digital. So for me, it is totally irrelevant. What is relevant is if the $14 jobs would do the job for me. Have you any actual evidence that these do a good job? If they are anything like my Connectix tethered webcam, certainly not. Not confident you took my point about the distinction between lens quality and MP (and other features). The former is what I want, the latter ... well, I don't even want a view screen... I am happy to spend up to about $200 US. I want this dough to go into lens quality if possible. For printing, it will be a while before anything digital can match my film cameras and enlargers. So, I am blind to any consideration about printing from digital.
