It's a 3.6 volt lithium battery. Radio shack stores stocks these. Ask for a "1/2 AA 3.6 volt lithium battery". The price is about a buck less from Radio Shack's industrial division. A brand new battery will measure about 3.68 volts. It is nearly dead when it reaches 3.2 volts, and it is very dead when it reaches 3.0 volts.
