It's a 3.6 volt lithium battery.

Radio shack stores stocks these.

Ask for a "1/2 AA 3.6 volt lithium battery".

The price is about a buck less from Radio Shack's industrial division.

A brand new battery will measure about 3.68 volts.

It is nearly dead when it reaches 3.2 volts, and it is very dead when it
reaches 3.0 volts.

At 3.0 volts or less, timekeeping and PRAM settings are problematic.
