Oh, I just like to be at the latest and greatest.. I thought that Mac OS 8.6 included the standard PPP control panel and Remote Access... Not sure if 7.6.1 did as well...
Ok, if you like 7.6.1,then just stick with it...

well this one does, and since I just copied all those file I'm not sure if its original but I think it was, 7.6.1 disk broke long ago
