Hi

Hi....Harold, I upgraded my "pet" 6360 in a slightly different manor. I
pulled the logic board from a 6500/300, whose P/S had cratered, removed the
"tail-piece" from the board, and installed the stock 6360 tail-piece. I then

wait just a minute - this is confusing... I have an old Performa 630 that I wanted to upgrade it to a PCI mac by putting in a 6360 logic board (yes, AND a 6360 power supply). Are you telling me that it is possible to put in that same case a 54xx/55xx logic board? Since I know that I can put a 5500 logic board in a 5400 and that 6500 is a tower version of 5500 this comes to the same thing.

Since I have a spare 5400/160 logic board that physically fits in the 630 all I need is a 6360 power supply to transform a 68k 630 into a PCI powermac (worthy of this list), right? Could a different power supply be used instead - from a different model? The 6360s are pretty scarce these days.

Regards,
Boris
