I need to share a router with my wife's PC running XP. Using a BEFSR41 wired Linksys router with Alltel DSL. Finally got the XP machine configured to work with the router. Now its time to get the old dinosaur up and connected. It's a 8500/120 running 8.6. Worked fine on the DSL modem by itself, but I'm tired of having to exchange Ethernet cables and I'd like to get online at the same time as my wife. Any suggestions? I can't get it working now.
I'm confused, the BEFSR41 has 4 downstream ports on it. Why not plug a second cable from the router to the Mac?
